Max Bell Foundation is proud to announce two new Senior Fellows.
Christopher Ragan will lead a two-year research project on trade diversification at the Institute for Research on Public Policy. The project will bring together expert research, analysis and engagement across Canada. The project will explore how Canada can diversify its trade relationships in response to a changing relationship with the United States, with the goal of developing evidence-based policy ideas that can help unlock Canada’s trade potential and support long-term prosperity.
Lana Wells at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Social Work will lead work focused on preventing intimate partner violence and advancing a primary prevention approach to gender-based violence. Her fellowship will combine research, storytelling, dialogue and policy leadership to help build the networks, narratives and policy frameworks needed to move Canada from a reactive system of crisis response toward preventing violence before it starts.
