A Dynamic Assessment of Early Intervention Models in Children with Developmental Delays

A standardized process of diagnosis and treatment for children with developmental delays allows decision makers and parents to address gaps in the current system of care

Summary

Families of children with developmental delays are concerned with how to access support at an early age. This project sought to develop standardized methods for testing for developmental delays, and to design optimal individual treatment processes. The outcomes were shared with policy makers and leaders in the field in order to develop consensus on treatment, foster increased parental knowledge about early intervention, and provide an overview of the areas needing improvement, thereby motivating policy makers to fund or explore alternative models of service delivery.
