David Morhart joins Max Bell Foundation Board of Directors

Max Bell Foundation is pleased to announce that David Morhart of Victoria has joined our Board of Directors.

David Morhart is the Executive Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. David has held a range of senior leadership roles in the public sector, including Deputy Minister positions in technology, infrastructure, public safety, advanced education, and social services.

He led British Columbia’s provincial treasury team, overseeing debt and cash management, banking, insurance, and investor relations. David currently serves as Board Chair and Finance Committee Chair for FamilySmart and sits on the board of directors for Canadian Blood Services. He is a past National Treasurer and President of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) and has contributed to numerous Crown and non-profit boards. Additionally, he is a faculty member with the Max Bell Foundation’s Public Policy Training Institute.

David is a recipient of the British Columbia Lieutenant Governor’s Institute of Public Administration Silver Medal for leadership and excellence in public service.

He holds an MBA with a specialization in financial management from City University and a Bachelor of Commerce in finance from the University of Saskatchewan. He also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
