Max Bell Foundation’s Directors are very proud to announce that the Foundation’s President, Dr. David Elton, was today appointed to the Order of Canada. Dr. Elton’s many accomplishments include playing a number of key roles related to Western Canada’s rise in importance on the national stage. He led the influential think tank Canada West Foundation from 1980 to 1997, and today continues to lead a number of philanthropic organizations and initiatives – including Max Bell Foundation – that have benefitted Canadians across the country. Throughout hiscareer, Dr. Elton has made many unique contributions to both the growth of the philanthropic sector and to the development of public policy in Alberta and across Canada.
