Through community groups they’re already associated with, youth and new Canadians can be encouraged to participate in the democratic process

Summary

Samara works with community partners in the Democracy Talks project to conduct a national public outreach initiative designed to improve political participation among youth and newcomers in Canada. The second phase of this project will expand the existing program to a wider network of communities across Canada. Samara will also create an interactive online portal to enable Canadians across the country to learn about political engagement and participate in the forum online. The in-person and online forums will inform research to help improve policies to expand Canadian democracy.
