This internship allowed a student intern to conduct a literature review of the existing acts, legislation, and policy regulations relating to children with disabilities. It resulted in the development of an inventory of non-profit sector and government agencies that provide educational services to children with disabilities. The project concluded with a research brief that discussed the degree to which government policies relating to children with disabilities are fulfilled through existing administrative practices.
This internship resulted in a proposal seeking further funding for a larger research project on the topic.
