Summary
This project builds on the success of the Transforming Care at Bedside (TCAB) research which engaged frontline practitioners in improving patient outcomes and work environments by responding to patient and family needs. Researchers at the Ingram School of Nursing aim to spread the best-practices discovered in earlier research to eight different healthcare facilities. They are specifically seeking to improve operational efficiency in managing inpatient care, engaging patients in decision-making about healthcare delivery, and developing strategies to better increase the capacity of frontline caregivers.
