Summary
The purpose of this project was to inform debate over health care delivery. The researcher compiled a list of private health care providers in Canada and analyzed the literature on the performance of for-profit, not-for-profit and public hospitals in Canada. The role of private health care providers in Canada and in other OECD countries was assessed. The research added to the background knowledge for the health policy program at the Fraser Institute.
