Internship: Health Programs Development

Canadian health care would benefit from greater accountability in the realm of service provision and its impacts on patients


The goal of this project was to inform the organization’s health policy program by producing a body of foundational research on the state of health care initiatives and reforms. The research resulted in a literature review of useful sources including books and journals, as well as summaries of media source reports, interviews, and conference findings. This project resulted in a subsequent research project and publication entitled “Health Care’s Hidden Face.”

Health Care’s Hidden Face – Reference Material –

This report summarized foundational research for a subsequent project concerning the Canadian health care system. The report finds that that health care information tends to be scattered, difficult to access, and ineffectively applied in initiatives to improve health departments.
