Summary
This project was the first phase in a larger initiative that sought to inform public policy debates by developing a digital infrastructure aimed as disseminating scholarly research to a broad public audience. The PKP developed a Distributed-Database Model for Scholarly Publishing to operate as an open access library of scholarly research, decreasing publishing costs, speeding the peer review process, and making academic publications accessible to a wider audience.
