The 14th Annual International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement

Research and scholarly discussion on ways to improve schools is progressing in Canada through conferences like the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI)

Summary

The goal of this project was to inform policy discussion about new findings related to school effectiveness and improvement. It intended to further the work of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI). ICSEI was founded to provide a forum for researchers, policymakers, developers and educators to engage in dialogue in order to improve education for all students. The success of the project was evaluated on the basis of several considerations, including the quality of published findings, the number of participants active in the ICSEI network, and the rate of follow-up participation in research and discussion online following the 2001 ICSEI conference.
